OUR HISTORY

McGirls Money Management began in 1996 when Pat McGirl and Rory Doyle opened a small office, building the business on trust, care, and strong personal relationships. As the company quickly grew, early team members like Louise Morgan and Ken Moore became key figures, helping shape its culture and operations. Through the early 2000s, the firm expanded rapidly, welcoming new advisers and earning industry recognition. Even after the sudden loss of founder Pat McGirl in 2005, the business remained strong. Rory Doyle stepped up to lead, continuing Pat’s vision while maintaining the firm’s reputation as a trusted and respected name in the community.
Over the following years, the company evolved, moving locations, growing its team, and bringing in fresh talent who contributed new ideas and energy. By 2025, leadership passed to a new generation, Mark Wharton, Ben Davis, and Jamie Lymer, who honoured the firm’s legacy while introducing new initiatives like the McGirls Academy. Now, in 2026, McGirls Money Management enters a new chapter, still rooted in its original values, but driven by renewed ambition and a commitment to future growth.
Bedford’s trusted practice since 1996.
